Compare the2026 Chrysler VoyagerVS 2026 Buick Enclave

The Chrysler Voyager has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Enclave doesn’t offer knee airbags.

Both the Voyager and the Enclave have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, front wheel drive, height adjustable front shoulder belts, plastic fuel tanks, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available all wheel drive.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration does 35 MPH front crash tests on new vehicles. In this test, results indicate that the Chrysler Voyager is safer than the Buick Enclave:

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration does side impact tests on new vehicles. In this test, which crashes the vehicle into a flat barrier at 38.5 MPH and into a post at 20 MPH, results indicate that the Chrysler Voyager is safer than the Buick Enclave:

Instrumented handling tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and analysis of its dimensions indicate that the Voyager is 5.8% to 6.9% less likely to roll over than the Enclave.

The Voyager’s corrosion warranty is unlimited miles longer than the Enclave’s (unlimited vs. 100,000 miles).

There are almost 3 times as many Chrysler dealers as there are Buick dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Voyager’s warranty.

A nine-speed automatic is standard on the Chrysler Voyager, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only an eight-speed automatic is available for the Enclave.

For better stopping power the Voyager’s brake rotors are larger than those on the Enclave:

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Voyager is 1 inch wider in the front and 1.2 inches wider in the rear than on the Enclave.

The Chrysler Voyager may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 200 to 400 pounds less than the Buick Enclave.

The Voyager is 3.8 inches shorter than the Enclave, making the Voyager easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Voyager offers optional seating for 8 passengers; the Enclave can only carry 7.

The Voyager has .3 inches more front hip room, 1.6 inches more front shoulder room, 6.3 inches more rear hip room, .9 inches more rear shoulder room, .4 inches more third row headroom, 4.4 inches more third row legroom, 1 inch more third row hip room and 3.4 inches more third row shoulder room than the Enclave.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Voyager’s middle and third row seats recline. The Enclave’s third row seats don’t recline.

The front step up height for the Voyager is 2.3 inches lower than the Enclave (16.3” vs. 18.6”). The Voyager’s rear step up height is 1.5 inches lower than the Enclave’s (18.2” vs. 19.7”).

The Voyager’s cargo area provides more volume than the Enclave.

A low lift-over cargo hatch design makes loading and unloading the Voyager easier. The Voyager’s cargo hatch lift-over height is 24.3 inches, while the Enclave’s liftover is 30.7 inches.

The Voyager’s cargo area is larger than the Enclave’s in almost every dimension:

The Voyager has standard Stow ’n Go second and third row seats, which fold flat into the floor. This completely clears a very large cargo area quickly. The Enclave doesn’t offer seats that fold into the floor.

A standard locking glovebox (which can’t be accessed with the valet key) keeps your small valuables safer in the Voyager. The Enclave doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The Voyager’s front and rear power windows all open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The Enclave’s passenger windows don’t close automatically.

The Voyager’s standard sliding doors can be opened with less than three inches side clearance. The Enclave’s standard rear swing-out doors are bulky and make loading in tight spots difficult.

The Voyager’s power side sliding doors make it much easier to load and unload kids and cargo. One touch opens the door, before you even get to the van. The Enclave doesn’t offer a power rear door.

The Voyager’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Enclave’s standard manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Voyager to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Enclave doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.
